I was on a canoe trip lead by the intrepid Marty Tannahill and accomanied by my good friend, Celso Mollo. We camped for two nights at this location called ‘The Ladder’. The weather was glorius for September. You can read more about this trip in an earlier blog post.
In the Spring, the water level is much higher and this location becomes flooded and overflows, creating a cascade to the join with the river below. At this time of year, the river has a more established route where you are required to run some rapids to get further downstream. I’m not sure I’d want to be here in the Spring... mosquitos galore!
